SCARRABI
A glittering swarm of beetles, each the size of a large human fist. The air is filled with a buzzing sound and only too late can one tell its source: fanged mandibles chewing the air in blurring speed. Their chitin is yellow and green with a metallic sheen.
Their victims are pulled to the ground and then torn into and eaten from the inside out. They are a vicious and territorial specie, but are rarely encountered beyond their hives unless expanding to a new hive, or tempted by the smell of something enticing.

Oh Tekateka Delorian Scarabfodder, I hardly knew thee...

Looks good, James. The burrowing is gross, but effective. It should have rules for removing them. Probably a medic check.

Definately. I assumed one grapples them to take them off, and a medic check would work even better. Still, that may be too hard to do in combat and make them too powerful for the level of combat I intended. I think instead it should have:
Burrow: If attacking a prone victim, bite instigates a grapple with +2, success allows scarrabi to enter skin, double shock and amp reduced by 1. Removing a scarrabi is a VF action that incurs 1d4 damage.
