Tables

Postby Maugh » Wed Nov 10, 2010 12:15 pm

I may be the only person who cares about this, but we can now post tables on the forum, using the BBCode version of the standard table HTML codes.

This includes the normal <table>, <th>, <tr>, and <td> codes, but instead of the < >, we use the [ ] brackets.

It's important that there is no line-return between table rows, or it will give a really odd spacing in front of your tables, and you'll freak out and scream at the computer and end up calling Caleb and complaining to him until he takes time out of his busy schedule to fix your computer programming problem and nobody wants that least of all Caleb, and you'll have to post all kinds of test tables on the site and stall the work that you really want to get done and...

Or maybe that's just me.

Yeah. Don't hit 'return,' between table rows when you're programming with tags.

Anyway, have a great day, everybody.

Whoah. Kill the style and font tags. Just use the basic table tags. table, hr, tr, and td.

Rad.

Just don't forget to remove the line-returns. If there are both "enter key" line returns as well as the tr tags, then the forum will double-interpret them and leave you with a weird spacing before your tables. Infuriating glitch, that.

Ah, that explains that. Certainly irritating.
