Old school cartoons!

Postby Mortaemer » Wed May 12, 2010 8:34 pm

I just had the immense honor of sailing with Ren, Ioz and Lula over dark waters to find the 13 treasures of rule and stop the evil pirate lord Bloth in The Pirates of Darkwater! Now I am questing through the forgotten world of Dungeons & Dragons Animated Series, trying to find my way home again and barely staying out of the clutches of Venger thanks to the help from my friends: Hank the Ranger, Bobby the Barbarian, Sheila the Thief, Presto the Magician, Diana the Acrobat and Eric the Caviler. Now I need the help of any connoisseurs of vintage cartoons out there to decide where my next adventure will lead me!

Shall ye help me?

The old school cartoons would be James's department, so I'm sure he'll have some good suggestions for you. I always liked X-men and Spider-man for the older cartoons, but those are 90's, and not 80's.

You could always look into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, GI-Joe, Transformers, etc.

But the more important question is, despite not being vintage, have you seen Avatar? Check out these clips:

And to cap off the awesomeness, Sokka's Poetry Slam:

There's also the Teen Titans, The batman animated series, (the old one, the new one's not as good,) and the Spectacular Spider-man. Those are rob's recommendations, at lest.

Ah, the Pirates of Darkwater. We loved that show so much as kids, still quote it among my brothers. Marlin uses the word "Noyje'tat!"
I love Visionaries. It is solid for a good 2/3 of the one season series.

Chunga-wunga! Thanks for the suggestions! I just found Mighty Max's cap of power, treaded down that road (or extra dimensional portal) next. But my lineup has some good new additions. Thanks guys
