Dresden Files

Postby James » Fri Jul 16, 2010 12:47 am

I read the whole first book on Wednesday. I was in a sleep study and the next day I had to spend the whole day int he lab afterward taking naps every two hours, so I had the time. I loved it. It reminds me of the first Anita Blake book in tone, but slightly less out there in the urban fantasty setting. I like the firmer anchor in the real. A good dollop of mystery into Harry's past without giving it all away. I am looking forward to more of the series!

I love those books. I left the second one in your box, if you're interested. If not, no worries, I'll just take it back to my shelf at home.

Fair warning, though. There are 12 of them. They're a pretty light read, individually, but 12 books is 12 books.

Luckily I own them and am more than willing to loan them out. *grin.*

Any idea if the TV series is any good? It's available to watch instantly on Netflix, but I haven't watched it yet out of guilt for not having read the books...

I heard it was terrible. I'd probably watch it anyway.
